5 Things to do in Clarkesville, GA!

This sweet town nestled in the North Georgia mountains is the perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts. But today, I'm sharing with you 5 fun things to do while in Clarkesville, Georgia.

We started off our Spring Break staycation with a trip to Splashe PYOP just off the square.

Pick a piece to paint and get to work. Everything you need is provided including inspiration and assistance to get started. Even if you've never painted pottery before, this is for you! Leave your piece there to be fired and picked up a week later. If you are not local, the owner can ship it to you!

Up next, we walked about 2 blocks to one of Clarkesville's newest restaurants, The HUSH Cuban Kitchen for some Cuban bites! We opted to split a couple of appetizers for lunch. We've visited this restaurant several times and everything is a flavor explosion- you can't go wrong. Having said that, Clarkesville is full of chef kiss restaurants for every palette and we love them all!

Now it's time to walk off those calories. Lucky for you, Clarkesville, Georgia has the cutest shops to explore. Walk around the square and down the street to visit several unique boutiques, All in Bloom Florist, Just Around the Corner Book Store, and even a clean/low waste shop- Mindful Market! I didn't name the boutiques because they are all so special and we shop at all of them- but I will list them at the end of this post. One thing that I appreciate about the shopping Clarkesville experience is the variety of items from shop to shop. Sometimes when traveling, we stop to shop in cute towns and every store has the same merchandise. That is not the case in Clarkesville, Georgia.

After all our shopping, it was time for a treat! Vacation always means a trip to an ice cream shop in our book. Scoops not only has delicious vacation worthy ice cream, but a freshly made case of gourmet candy to tempt the strongest wills. One of the sweetest spots to stop in Clarkesville, Georgia.
